Patchogue Jam 6

Butchers Blind—Cassandra House—Kerry Kearney—Iridesense

A Celebration of Original Music from Long Island on the Main Stage

Kerry Kearney, a slide guitar master, plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most seasoned musician or cultured music fan. The music that Kerry creates from his vintage, stock, and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. Kerry Kearney's style, which is referred to as "Psychedelta", is his own brand of music containing an upbeat mix of American Blues and Roots with a twist of a very unique sound all his own. Along with his band, he has continued to experience an overwhelming and positive response over the radio and especially when the band performs live.

Cassandra House is a native Patchogue singer-songwriter who has been influenced greatly by the landscape and people of Long Island in her songwriting from a very young age. Her country-tinged voice and confessional lyrics paint a picture of her philosophy on life, heartbreak & home. Her music creates a kind of newish Americana with earnest explorations of relationships, love, and whatever exists in between. Her debut EP Night Owl was released to rave reviews in 2012.

When you listen to the music of Butchers Blind you know the future of Alt-Country shines blindingly bright. The Bellerose based group encompasses the rich history of American Roots music, then broadens and reshapes it into something exciting, refreshing and uniquely their own. They released their debut album Play for the Films in 2011.Their second album, Destination Blues will be available soon on Paradiddle Records.

Iridesense is a brother and sister team, Rick and Tara Eberle, who along with Rob Viccari and Rich Drouin have been making their mark on the Long Island music scene for the better part of two decades. They are very tight unit, rhythmically, and vocally, and their songwriting tells a story. As a band they have been carving out their niche, staying true to their vision and making music with a message. Since 1993, Iridesense has been writing catchy pop songs. They have released 3 full length CDs to date. Cool Dream Tomorrow, Iridesense, and A Trip Called Life. This show marks the 20th anniversary of the band, who had their photo shoot recently at the theater in anticipation of their new as yet untitled CD set for a Summer release, which will be previewed at this show.
